Your Love Matters

The stories, below, share personal experiences of working with the Point of You to get out of our own way, manifest the possibilities we most desire in our businesses and lives and ... and make a difference, while we're at it.

I'm deeply grateful to get to co-conspire with such creative, committed and courageous people, who are choosing to show up and share their deepest love—their greatest value—with the world, by living it!

When you see yourself in these stories, I hope you'll see that your love matters, too, and be inspired to lead a life you love, that makes a difference and loves you back!

What's your Point of You phrase?  Get over yourself.
What were you struggling with and/or seeking when we started working together? I was struggling to position my breadth of business skills and 25 years of experience in a way that would make me employable in existing positions, so that I could make money to support myself — to survive. First, I tried to find a position in another ground-breaking start-up, where my strengths and experience in branding, strategic marketing, sales and operations management all could be maximized. Then I looked for work that focused in just one or another of these skill areas. Inevitably...

What were you struggling with and/or seeking when we started working together? When I first started working with Kim, I was feeling stuck in my business. I knew I was ready to grow, but I was unsure of how to do it. We discovered my Point of You and started working with it. This eventually led to Kim helping me to rebrand my business. This shifted the whole focus and direction and allowed me to step into the new version more fully and with much more joy, excitement and creativity.

What were you struggling with and/or seeking when we started working together? When we first starting co-conspiring, I was a recent college graduate working in the tree care industry with a team who did not share the same vision for our company's future. When I contacted Kim, I was expecting her to help me figure out how talk some sense into these guys. I was ready to come up with a plan to get our tree care company to be more profitable, engage in more meaningful work, and  connect with people who were better aligned with our core values. The problem...

What were you struggling with and/or seeking when we started working together? Before working together, I was struggling with everything in my business. I didn't understand what set my work apart from other photographers. I didn't know how to set my prices. I did a lot of looking to see what everyone else was doing and trying to position myself in the middle. When I did talk about pricing with clients, I felt anxious because I had no confidence behind the model.

What were you struggling with and/or seeking when we started working together? I was unfulfilled in my work as a pharmaceutical sales rep. I was feeling a strong state of smoldering discontent both in my professional and my personal life. I wanted to make some changes in my life, but I didn't believe in myself enough to do it on my own.

What were you struggling with and/or seeking when we started working together? Oh jeez, what wasn't I struggling with!? Mostly I was hoping to grow my business and find more clients, given not only the normal challenges of that, but also the "bonus" challenge of teaching a method that few people have heard of. Also I was struggling with the demands of parenting two-year-old triplets at the same time!

What were you struggling with and/or seeking when we started working together? When Kim and I first started working together one-on-one, I was in the middle of what I call an "existential meltdown." I had just begun to really look at my unconscious wounds and ways I was diminishing myself. I felt lost, knowing the motivations that were moving me forward in my career and relationships were unhealthy but not knowing how to heal them. During our first session, she helped me see that even though I had experienced painful interactions in my relationships...

What were you struggling with and/or seeking when we started working together? I was seeking a better outlet for my creativity, clarity around my career path, less stress, and more income! What is your Point of You phrase? Ask yourself.
What were you struggling with and/or seeking when we started working together?  I was around a year and a half into a "new" job. In that time, I experienced a seizure and (related) felt like I enjoyed my job, but that there was something really not working for me personally. I was also working to discover my wants and needs after having two children and exploring both what I needed to do to find better balance in my life and how I could feel fulfilled in my whole life.
